I'm a seminary graduate, a Christian Anarchist, a writer, a poet, a songwriter, and a wannabe author. I live and work with Syrian orphans in the Middle East. I also run a podcast, "A Christian Reads the Tao te Ching," which you can find in the menu bar.

I blog here about faith and spirituality, singleness, Christian Anarchism, evangelical cultural critiques, the Tao te Ching, and anything else that promotes presence, patience, and peace. (I also shared my poetry a lot in the past, although not so much anymore.)

Although I used to write several times a week, the blog is currently on hiatus, as you can read about in this post. Don't worry, though, there's still plenty of material to keep you reading for a long time! You can find a categorized list of all previous posts and poems in the Posts Index. (Note: my series on the Tao te Ching will continue on a biweekly basis, but other than that, I don't have plans for new posts anytime soon.)
Although I am no longer actively blogging, I am currently working on developing my career as an orchestral/cinematic composer under the stage name Between the Rains. You can find a selection of my music as well as my contact info for custom requests on my demo reel.
